Holiday Cards are coming!

Okay, I'm making a plethora of Christmas cards, most of which are appropriate, but I just had to make this:

If you don't want "balls" in your Christmas card, I can kind of understand that. I am making cards with pictures and then simple, chic cards with a simple modern graphic.

Check in with my etsy store periodically... I'll be posting custom Christmas cards soon!!

More Wine Labels!

I spent most of my night working on my new blog design... I'm really glad I know how to edit certain things now because I get sick of what it looks like quite often. Basically like every other day. We'll see how long this one lasts! [I give it two weeks]

Anywho, I wanted to post my new wine labels. They might not look very new because I've had a version of them on my etsy store for a while. However, I was asked to make table numbers and I really liked how they came out! Observe...

I think this is such a cute detail for a wedding or even for a party! The labels are affordable and so is the design! Message me on etsy if you want to make a custom label.

I also made another wine label that I can't post yet but I am REALLY excited about that one ;) stay tuned!

Three Ingredient Pumpkin Treats

I found a new favorite cookie/cupcake [that's right, it can be a cookie AND a cupcake] and I have a love/hate relationship with it. WHY did I make these?! We've eaten almost all of them in TWO days.

They're pumpkin spice chocolate chip cookies [or you can make cupcakes] and they are the easiest treat you'll ever make. Also, they are the devil. You've been warned.

These are really the only two ingredients you need. But of course I've added chocolate. But you don't need it if you just want to make some cupcakes or muffins.

Just mix the two ingredients & preheat to 350...

... add some chocolate...

Bake for 18-20 minutes and BAM, you've got amazingly easy and delicious (and might I add festive) cookies. I put the extra batter in cupcake tins and made cupcakes topped with cream cheese & cinnamon frosting. Yep, I had leftover frosting and I added some cinnamon. AMAZE.

I'll leave you with a craft. I went to Michael's and got a letter, twine and a fake flower. The twine was kind of hard so if I do it again, I might try something different.

L for Love, Leigh or Lamb. Either one works :)

Wedding Timeline

I have to post this because I'm kind of obsessed with it.

A few weeks ago, I made a wedding timeline for my friend Lisa. She got married in Kentucky and wanted her timeline to reflect her hometown state. So, we put the entire red state (Politics? Nope! UofL? YES!) in the background. Lisa was tickled and I think they turned out wonderfully, if I don't say so myself!

I made another option without the state but I think the state really gives it a little something extra!

If you're wanting something like this for your big day, visit my etsy store and snatch it up! :)

Apple Crisp Sangria

It's Fall, people! Well, it's technically fall but in Florida it's still feeling like summer. I don't care either way because October means fall and I'm not paying attention to the heat.. Bring on the cider, sweaters and everything pumpkin!

We had people over last weekend to watch football so naturally, I wanted to make football finger food! I'll post something separate on the foods because this one is allllll about the booze:

Here is the link with the full recipe and it'll take you step by step :) but basically you just put the liquids together and then put the fruit/ginger/cinnamon sticks in and refrigerate overnight.

What you'll need:

1/4 cup Agave or Honey
2 Cups Peach Schnapps
2 Oranges
1 lemon
1 lime
2 apples
2 cinnamon sticks
2 slices of fresh ginger
1 bottle Club Soda
Cinnamon
Ice
Sugar
Bottle of Chardonnay

It calls for two cups of peach schnapps. I would start with just one cup and taste it and see if you needed more. Mine was very peachy so keep that in mind when you're making it.

Fresh ginger.. YUM

I let the fruit steep over night and then drained the fruit out in the morning. I added an extra apple and orange the day I was serving it.. that way, the fruit is fresh and yummy to eat.

Wet the rim with some fruit, put some cinnamon sugar on the rim and put a cinnamon stick in it and, voila! :)

Birthday Fun!

Monday is usually a pretty lame day but this Monday was my birthday! I decided that my main goal for my birthday was for it to not feel like a Monday. And... I was successful! It was such a great day and I really felt the love from my friends and family!

My friend Leslie is in town with her family and it's been so great to see her! We met up for dinner on Sunday and it was fab! It's pretty great living in a vacation spot... people are always coming down!

I had such a fun and relaxing Monday! I worked in the morning and then had lunch with a friend, laid out, read some of my book, and then some more friends came over and brought me cake!

Also, some very special people sent me flowers! Amber & Gregg sent me these and I just love them!! Everyone needs flowers on their birthday :)

I bought myself a little something for my birthday and I'm obsessed! I bought it last week but I finally put one of our engagement pictures in there and put it on the wall. Love it!

I'm so grateful for my supportive friends and family. I have so many people that are there just to listen and be a friend and it's something that I truly cherish. I hope I'm as good of a friend/future wife/sister/daughter/etc as my friends and fam are to me. I feel like such a lucky broad!!

Old Fashioned Bachelorette Invitations!

Hola party people! There's something about the bachelorette party that gets people going... since we've been out of college for some time now, it's a way to go back to our partying roots for a weekend with our ladies. Sure, it takes a week to prepare [vitamins, water, etc] and it definitely takes that long to recuperate [am I the only one who has no tolerance anymore?] However, it is so worth it!

I made a bachelorette invitation for my friend Lisa and I have to say... this thing is CUTE! It's got an old fashioned feel with some new spunkiness to it! I was inspired by a bunch of different invitations I saw on pinterest and I love how everything came together!

Wish you could see the borders better... but you get the picture :) thoughts?!

Hello!! I made another invitation and I wanted to share! I saw something like this on pinterest and had to experiment! Let me know what you think :)

Also, here's a print that I love that's hanging in my room. It's a good reminder to always dream big!

Comment if you want a copy of dream big for your wall!

Bridal Party Invitations

Hello friends! I've been all over the place [literalleigh] and now I'm back at home and I'm ready to make lots of designs! I have a goal to eventually open an Etsy store so stay tuned for that!

Here are a few bridal party invitations I made tonight. I love the chrysanthemums and colors! I actually really need to venture out with the colors :) I definitely have a common theme that I stick to.

Here's one in yellow & gray

I wish these had borders so you could see the edges but you get the picture!

Dallas & Bloody's

This weekend, I went on a surprise girls trip to help a friend celebrate her rapidly approaching nuptials! Last year, we surprised a friend in San Francisco...

and this year we went to Dallas! [In San Francisco, we said we should do a surprise trip for each broad that becomes a bride]

I've heard Lisa mention multiple times that she loves a good bloody mary with brunch and the spicier, the better :)

Our gracious and fabulous host bought all the fixins' and I made a sign to add that personal touch. I think it turned out so cute... whatdya think?

I just printed this and then cut it in a circle... a fun touch to spice up the spread!

The flowers were beautiful, the spread was amazing and I think the bride was happy with her surprise!

Playing around making save the dates...

...for the fictitious couple Sarah & Sam who just got married this past weekend!

Once I get our engagement pictures, I'll make some sample save the dates examples with those :)

TGIF people!

It's the weekend baby woo!!! My June has already been completely crazy and it is only half way through. I went to my friend Shannon's wedding last weekend in Gulf Shores, AL. It was pretty rainy but that didn't stop us from having an amazing time! So happy for Shannon and Matt!

This weekend, I'm going to see my friend Mary Ann, or MASexy as she's formally known, get married! I am so excited and lucky to see so many different friends within a week! As someone who is constantly missing my friends, this is very exciting for me. Congrats MASexy!

In other news, I'm flying to Nashville and I rented a few movies:

I promise to report back on both. Unless I forget.

It's weird not traveling as much so I think I'm going to enjoy my alone time on the plane watching one of these movies... my hardest decisions of the day will be deciding which movie to watch and if I should have red or white wine on the plane. It's a hard life I lead.

Wedding Pinterest Finds!

Hello, people! I've got more than 11 months until our nuptials but let's get real, I've been looking at wedding stuff for a while :) what girl doesn't?!

If you follow me on pinterest, you've seen all of this but this is a summation of what I would really like my wedding to look like. Enjoy!

I am obsessed with this whole look. Love the blush dresses and love the bouquets. Although, I want a little more color in the bridal bouquet.

So light and romantic! Love this :)

Love the hair, love the flower, love love love it all!

I actually think I like these more than the centerpieces above because the colors are a little more subtle. I don't think Gregg wants tons of pink. I don't see why?? :)

Look this cake that Amber pinned for me. Isn't it to die for?!

Love the brides dress! And of course the bridesmaid's look.

These are a few ideas to get some great pictures together before the wedding without breaking tradition. I would love to write each other and read the letters on each side of the door.

Okay, I think this is such a cute idea. And you know what? What people love most about the photo booth is the fun outfits/hats/sunglasses so why not just set up a section and have people take their own pictures and then text them to the same place? A way to save money and still have the fun photobooth feel!

Ahh welp, that's enough wedding chatter for one day. Take care!

Save the Date Fun!

I've had a little free time so I'm trying to make one creation a day. I made an invitation this morning but I don't think I want to share because I'll probably use it here soon :)

However, I played around and made an adorable little birdie save the date... I really wish I could shorten it to STD, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Although, if you're skimming this then maybe it's caught your attention?

Whatdya think of my love birds?

I hate to brag about my own work but isn't that adorable?! I hope my friend Ali sees this because she thinks I'm weirdly obsessed with birds and maybe it's true??

Again, would you buy this? Just doing some market research :)

Wine Labels - Wedding Edition!

Thanks to Pinterest, the way brides ask their 'maids to stand by their side has gotten more and more extravagant. I imagine that back in the day people would just ask their friends and family in person... not anymore

A new trend in weddings is using wine labels to get your message across! Actually, I don't know if it's a new trend but I think it is ADORBS and I love wine so there ya go. It's my new trend :) I found this specific label from etsy.

What do you guys think of the wine label I made? Would you say yes?! More importantly, would you purchase something like this from me on etsy?? :)

Another great thing to do with a custom wine label is have it be your table numbers! What do you think of this rustic label found here:

I love these small details that make your wedding fabulous and memorable. And I'm loving that I'm learning to do this now.. good timing :)
