Third Times a Charm!

This past weekend, I woke up on Sunday and decided, "Hey, I'm an hour from New Orleans, why not drive down there". Boy, was that a great decision. My coworkers had never experienced Nola's glory and I had been twice before [best trips ever, btw]. So, I drove us and let them experience everything while I stayed sober [I deserve some type of award, right?]

We got there at about 11:45am and walked around, to get every one's feet wet. My two coworkers had their chins on the floor for most of the day :)

I was hoping to find a great painting for my new place but no such luck :-/

New Orleans: before the LSWho and Bama fans woke up from a crazy Saturday night

St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square

Ohh heyyy Andrew Jackson.

This is a shot of one of my favorite places in New Orleans - Razzoo! Amazing drink specials and people watching. Do it!

I told my coworkers that they had to get hand grenades. They went with the small ones... amateurs.

This broad was so creepy! She kept winking at me!

I made sure my coworkers got a picture with the Huge Ass Beers sign. When you do this, make sure you pay da man.

Lots of LSU fans. Boooo! ;)

And look who I ran into.. some of my family!

Uncle Steve!!! We actually had plans to meet up and we had lunch at Acme Oysters... YUM

Some of the most amazing oysters I've ever had! Chargrilled with parmesan on top.

This is called Poo Pah. It's gumbo in a bread bowl and it's awesome.

The Roll Tide Gnome! He had a wild time in Nola.

P.S. My best trips [yes, plural] to Nola included this man....
Hahahah he's going to love seeing this picture that he probably never knew existed :)

Have you ever been to New Orleans? If not, what are you waiting for?!

WILW: Friends in Portland!

What am I loving today? Glad you asked!

I love catching up with friends while I'm far away from home.. in person.. AT LUNCH!
Benitez is a great friend from college and he is traveling the country and setting up for a few touring bands!

Austin is another good friend college

These KA boys and this KA Southern Belle had delicious pizza at Hot Lips Pizza. Love that place!

These boys contributed to my good time at Western and then we all moved the good times to Nashville! It's a shame that to see each other we have to meet up 3,000 miles from home! Still, good to see you boys :)

See Ya in Seattle!

Gregg was visiting his family [California] and I was working in Portland so we thought... why don't we meet somewhere on the west coast that we've both never been to! A grand idea :)

Seattle was coffee heaven for both of us. Starbucks literally on every corner and the ORIGINAL Starbucks right by our hotel!

Now there's some extra meaning behind my typical "Grande Pike with room for cream" order. I ordered that while standing in the Starbucks on Pike Street. Did that just blow your mind?!

There was a nice young man playing guitar outside. When Gregg and I walked by another time, the line was out the door.

Outside of Pike Place Market

Such a hipster shot

Biggest donuts I've EVER seen

Where they throw the fish... but NO FISH WERE THROWN :(

Ole Gregg, enjoying the market whilst enjoying an orig 'bucks

An AMAZING view from the top of the Bank of America building. It's a way better view than the space needle, it's inside [this is key, it's too cold to be outside], and it's waaaay cheaper. $5 versus $16 at the space needle!

Actually, I overheard our Starbucks barista say you could just go to the ladies bathroom on the 74th floor for the best view for free!

Greggy's dreams came true when we went to the Museum of Flight!

I can name all of these planes. Legit.

Very serious about planes. Also flight.

Told you he was serious.

The Concorde [for those of you like me who don't remember] was a supersonic passenger airplane. They could get from JFK to London in about 4 hours. Bring it back, Concorde!

Air Force Onnnne

The president's chair in Air Force One.

Our view on our walk to dinner

In the market after dark!

Yummy apps at a place called Matt's in the Market. It was in the market. It was also faaaancy.

The GUM WALL!!!! Apparently, there's like a $150,000 fine if someone tries to "ruin" or remove the gum.

Smells like candy if you get close enough.

Sick! Literally.

This is the view from our elite breakfast room. Oooh, elite :)

After dinner and drinks, Gregg and I came back and got in the hot tub and went for a chilly dip in this bad boy.

See ya, Seattle. You rock.
